Comparing Interior Space

Both models offer an abundance of interior space; however, there are a couple of differences. If you are looking for more cargo space, nothing beats a hatchback because you are not limited vertically vs having a trunk. In turn, the Corolla Hatchback offers 17.8 cubic feet versus the sedans 13 cubic feet in the trunk.

It is important to note that though the Corolla Hatchback has more cargo space, it does sacrifice some passenger room. The Corolla Sedans total passenger volume is 97.4 cubic feet and rear-seat legroom of 41.4 inches. While the Corolla Hatchback only has 95.7 cubic feet of total passenger volume and 29.9 inches of rear-seat legroom.

Performance and Efficiency
